I’d Rather be LUCKy Than Good

I’d Rather be LUCKy Than Good

I’ve held off on writing this column for a while, but now that Peyton Manning is out of the playoffs and is 9-11 overall in the playoffs, I am compelled to say a few things.

#1 Shut-Up Skip Bayless (you grandstanding contrarian lunatic).  You recently wrote this:

Be honest, Colts fans: Heading into the playoffs, would you rather have Peyton or Luck? Peyton, obviously. Now the tougher question: After what you’ve seen from Peyton this season, Peyton or Luck for the next three seasons? Sorry, it’s Peyton.

Sorry, Skip – I’ll take Luck!  Peyton showed what he’s all about again.  He usually finds a way to lose.  I’ll take a younger, mobile player who is learning and is popular in the locker room.

#2 Maybe Peyton isn’t all that we thought.  Reggie Wayne recently said that this years locker room was the best since he has been with the Colts.  I have heard the whispers – that Peyton was hard on his teammates…. even tense.  I have also heard from people who did physical therapy with Peyton that he was QUOTE UNQUOTE “an A- Hole!”  Peyton is now 9-11 in the playoffs.  I already see his fans making excuses as to why he lost tonight (“the coach”).  The scoreboard tells the story.

Joe Montana was 16-6 in the playoffs.  Tom Brady will be 17-6 if the Pats defeat the Texans tomorrow as I expect.  Did I mention that Peyton was 9-11 and he has been on some of the best record teams ever… only to lose in the playoffs, repeatedly?  I see a trend.  Even Ray Charles could see that.

I liked Peyton, but I feel better with Luck on our side.
